Over Drivie

Drivie is een onafhankelijke app voor Homey. Homey is een merk van Athom B.V. Drivie is niet gelieerd aan, goedgekeurd door of gesponsord door Athom B.V.

Privacy

Drivie verzamelt geen persoonsgegevens. De app communiceert rechtstreeks met je Homey en met de accountdienst van Athom om je aan te melden. Je inlogtokens staan veilig in de sleutelhanger op je toestel, en je favorieten en instellingen verlaten je toestel nooit. Als je iCloud-synchronisatie inschakelt, worden je favorieten en instellingen uitsluitend in jouw persoonlijke iCloud-database opgeslagen; de ontwikkelaar heeft daar geen toegang toe. De app bevat geen tracking en geen advertenties.

Voor pushmeldingen — bijvoorbeeld het verversen van de widget bij een gewijzigd apparaat, of een automelding op het CarPlay-/Android Auto-scherm — verstuurt de Homey-companion-app berichten via de gebruikelijke pushdienst van het platform: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) op iOS, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) op Android. Dat is dezelfde weg die vrijwel elke app gebruikt om je toestel te bereiken zonder continu een eigen verbinding open te houden; Apple en Google zien daarbij het pushtoken van je toestel en de inhoud van het bericht, zoals bij elke andere app die meldingen verstuurt.

In plaats van dat elke Homey zelf een permanente verzendsleutel van Apple of Google bewaart, vraagt de companion-app die berichten aan via een kleine, losstaande sleuteldienst die uitsluitend kortlevende toegangstokens uitgeeft — geldig voor maximaal een uur. Die dienst ziet nooit de inhoud van een melding, geen apparaatnamen en geen locatiegegevens, en slaat niets op. De melding zelf verstuurt de companion-app daarna rechtstreeks naar Apple of Google, niet via die sleuteldienst. Buiten die ene, kleine sleuteldienst staan er geen eigen servers.

Abonnementen verlopen via Paddle als Merchant of Record; de ontwikkelaar ontvangt daarbij geen betaalgegevens.

Om je Homey te herkennen bij een Drivie Pro-abonnement gebruikt de companion-app een zelf aangemaakt, willekeurig Drivie-ID — nooit je account, e-mailadres of naam. Naast dat Drivie-ID deelt de companion-app ook het cloud-ID van je Homey met dezelfde sleuteldienst, die het uitsluitend gebruikt om je Homey direct te laten weten dat er iets veranderd is aan je abonnement (bijvoorbeeld na een aankoop of opzegging), in plaats van tot 24 uur te wachten op de volgende automatische controle. Dat cloud-ID verlaat de sleuteldienst nooit verder: het gaat niet naar Paddle, niet naar namiddag.com, en staat nergens in een link die je aanklikt. Het is bovendien geen nieuwe blootstelling — je Homey deelt datzelfde cloud-ID al met de Drivie-app op je telefoon, elke keer dat je 'm opent.

Abonnementen, updates & onafhankelijke ontwikkelaar

Drivie wordt gemaakt door één onafhankelijke ontwikkelaar — geen groot commercieel bedrijf. Met een abonnement steun je de ontwikkeling direct. De dienst wordt geleverd zoals hij is ("as-is"), zonder enige garantie: de werking kan per apparaat, merk en platform verschillen (zeker op Android, waar fabrikanten eigen aanpassingen doorvoeren) en functies kunnen wijzigen of verdwijnen. Een abonnement geldt voor de app zoals die op het moment van aankoop is; er bestaat geen recht op updates, nieuwe functies of ondersteuning. Toekomstige functies kunnen als aparte, betaalde aankoop worden aangeboden.

Aansprakelijkheid

Drivie wordt geleverd zoals hij is. Voor zover de wet dat toestaat, aanvaardt de ontwikkelaar geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor welke schade dan ook die voortvloeit uit het gebruik van deze app, inclusief acties op verbonden apparaten zoals sloten, garagedeuren en alarmen.

Privacy. Drivie does not collect any personal data. The app talks directly to your Homey and to Athom's account service to sign you in. Your login tokens are stored securely in the Keychain on your device, and your favourites and settings never leave your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your favourites and settings are stored solely in your personal iCloud database, inaccessible to the developer. The app contains no tracking and no ads.

For push notifications — for example refreshing the widget when a device changes, or an alert on the CarPlay/Android Auto screen — the Homey companion app sends messages through the platform's regular push service: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on Android. That's the same route almost every app uses to reach your device without keeping its own connection open continuously; Apple and Google see your device's push token and the message content in the process, as with any other app that sends notifications.

Instead of every Homey holding a permanent Apple or Google send key itself, the companion app requests those messages through a small, standalone key-issuing service that only ever hands out short-lived access tokens — valid for at most one hour. That service never sees the content of a notification, no device names and no location data, and stores nothing. The companion app then sends the notification itself, directly to Apple or Google, not through that key service. Outside that one small key service, there are no developer-operated servers.

Subscriptions are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record; the developer never receives payment details.

To recognise your Homey for a Drivie Pro subscription, the companion app uses a self-generated, random Drivie ID — never your account, email address or name. Alongside that Drivie ID, the companion app also shares your Homey's cloud ID with the same key service, used solely to let your Homey know right away when something about your subscription changes (for example after a purchase or cancellation), instead of waiting up to 24 hours for the next automatic check. That cloud ID never travels any further from the key service: it doesn't go to Paddle, doesn't go to namiddag.com, and never appears in a link you click. It's also not a new exposure — your Homey already shares that same cloud ID with the Drivie app on your phone, every time you open it.

Subscriptions, updates & independent developer. Drivie is built by a single independent developer — not a large commercial company. A subscription directly supports its development. The service is provided as-is, without any warranty: behaviour can differ per device, brand and platform (especially on Android, where manufacturers apply their own modifications), and features can change or be removed. A subscription covers the app as it is at the time of purchase; there is no entitlement to updates, new features or support. Future features may be offered as separate paid purchases.

Liability. Drivie is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer accepts no liability for any damage whatsoever arising from the use of this app, including actions on connected devices such as locks, garage doors and alarms.
